Race Night
This is the third race night we have run at the Court, the first two were horse races so we thought we would change it up for ‘Gone to the Dogs’.
The room was literally full of Owners and the atmosphere was lovely, lots of screams and shouts to help the dogs run faster. We sourced a video so knew who the winners and losers were on each race, the dogs came pre named, and each Owner chose a dog.
As the person who helped run the evening knew who the winners and losers were and the race odds were preset to ensure the pay outs were appropriate. In some cases, the Owners won more than they had bet.
Between races the Owners had a Ploughman’s, which they love. The evening lasted almost two hours with chants of "we want more" and "when are we doing this again?"
A great night was had by all!
